The Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps (NSCDC) Kaduna State Command, has deployed no fewer than 2,100 personnel to bolster security across the 23 local government areas of the state during the forthcoming yuletide season.
The command’s Public Relations Officer, SC Habeeb Badamasi, made the announcement in a statement issued on Friday in Kaduna.
He said the state Commandant, Panam Buba, gave the oder to ensure public safety during the festive season.
He said, “This initiative followed the operational order from the Operations Department, approved by the State Commandant, and aims to bolster security before, during, and after the Christmas and New Year celebrations.”
He said the commandant has reassured tje residents that they can safely carry on with their regular lawful activities, emphasising the commitment of NSCDC to protect lives and property throughout the holiday period.
“We are here to ensure a peaceful and secure environment for everyone to enjoy this festive season,” he stated.
The commandant warned criminal elements to reconsider their actions, declaring that both NSCDC personnel and other security agencies would be strategically stationed to deter crimes.
“We are on alert, and those who choose to engage in unlawful activities will face serious consequences,” he affirmed.
“As the festive spirit fills the air, the commandant extended his warm wishes to the Christian community, encouraging them to use this time to reflect on the true meaning of Christmas—the birth of Jesus Christ, “he said.
Badamasi said with comprehensive security measures now in place and personnel on duty, the residents can look forward to a safe and enjoyable holiday season.
