The Osun Sector Command of the Federal Road Safety Corps (FRSC), on Wednesday, disclosed that one person lost his life in a lone accident on Jagilegbo highway in the state .
The sector commander, Mr Olaleye Adegboyega, disclosed this in a statement issued by spokesperson of the command, Mrs Agnes Ogungbemi, in Osogbo.
He said that the accident occurred on Tuesday night at about 9:30 p.m around Jagilegbo area of the state claiming one life with another passenger injured .
“A black motorcycle with an unregistered number plate had a fatal accident claiming the riders’ life while the other person was severely injured .
“The accident was caused by speed violations and disobedience to safety regulations but the deceased person has been deposited to morgue while the other person taken to an undisclosed hospital,” Adegboyega said .
He said that the command urges all road users to desist from excessive speed and also to registered their number plates for proper verifications.
