Ondo LG boss presents N6.3bn 2025 budget to legislative

 


The Chairman, Okitipupa Local Government Area of Ondo State, Mr Andrew Ogunsakin, has presented a budget of ₦6,396,762,305.10K for 2025 to the legislative council.

The 2025 appropriation bill tagged “Our Ease” has ₦3,078,864,294.59K for recurrent expenditure and ₦2,197,750,000.00K for capital projects.

Ogunsakin, who presented the budget to the leader of the legislative council, Rt. Hon. Dada Adeleye, at legislative chamber in Okitipupa, said that the presentation of the budget was a significant move towards transparent governance and developmental planning.

According to him, the presentation of the budget was a testament of his administration’s commitment to people-centered governance, fiscal responsibility, and accelerated grassroots development.

“The 2025 budget was carefully crafted to reflect the yearnings of the people, with strategic emphasis on critical areas that directly impact the people.

“It is with a joyful heart that I stand before you today to formally present the 2025 Appropriation Bill, for your kind consideration and approval.

“This budget is not just a document; it is a roadmap for action, progress, and prosperity for our people,” Ogunsakin said.

In his remarks, Adeleke, commended Ogunsakin for the timely presentation of the appropriation bill and reiterated the readiness of the legislative council to give the budget a swift yet thorough consideration in the interest of the people.

“With the budget presentation, the Ogunsakin led administration sets the tone for a transformative 2025 with a vision of massive delivery and impact for the people,” Adeleke said.

Present at the ceremony were: Orimisan Ogunyemi, the Vice Chairman, Mr Adelana Adesunloye,  Director of Budget Planning; Prince Adeoye Ojomo, Head of Local Government Administration (HOLGA) as well as other Heads of Departments, Councillors, and representatives of the public, among others.
