North Sea Collision: Tanker Fire Extinguished, Captain Arrested

A fire on the Stena Immaculate has been put out after it collided with the cargo ship Solong in the North Sea. The crash led to explosions and the release of jet fuel, though no additional pollution has been reported.

The Solong’s Russian captain was arrested for suspected gross negligence manslaughter after one crew member went missing. UK authorities are investigating, while salvage operations continue to secure both vessels.

All crew members were safely rescued, with further damage assessments expected soon.
