A federal judge has issued an injunction preventing Elon Musk’s Department of Government Efficiency (Doge) from accessing Treasury Department records containing personal financial data of millions of Americans. The ruling follows a lawsuit by 19 state attorneys general, arguing that Musk’s access violated federal law.
The court ordered Musk’s team to destroy any records already obtained. The restrictions will remain in place until the next hearing on February 14.
